A lifelong resident of New Jersey, JM Derin has been putting pen to paper since her early years as a teenager.  Music, films, and writing have always been her passion; hence, the dream of writing a screenplay was born.  She has been known to get lost in books and films for days, even entire weekends.  Family and career responsibilities led her to a path to investment banking over the past 30 years.  Freedom from some of those obligations now allows her to pursue her vision of writing a script about self-discovery and self-worth.
